Automated feedback systems utilising Artificial Intelligence (AI) and sentiment analysis are revolutionizing the methods by which instructors assess and assist student learning. This chapter examines the design and execution of intelligent feedback systems that evaluate student submissions including essays, assignments, discussion posts, and survey responses—to produce prompt, personalised, and actionable feedback. Utilising Natural Language Processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL) methodologies, these systems can evaluate content quality, discern sentiment, detect misconceptions, and propose specific enhancements. The chapter delineates a comprehensive framework that amalgamates data collection, preprocessing, feature extraction, sentiment classification, and feedback production modules inside cloud-based learning settings. Challenges including model bias, interpretability, context sensitivity, and data privacy are rigorously analysed. Emerging trends such as multimodal sentiment analysis, explainable AI, and conversational feedback bots are also emphasised. AI-driven solutions can enhance learning outcomes, alleviate instructor strain, and promote ongoing, personalised learning experiences through the automation and improvement of feedback procedures.
