The swift integration of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in educational institutions requires sophisticated management systems to guarantee optimal energy use, optimised charging infrastructure, and sustainable campus mobility. This chapter examines a framework driven by IoT and Machine Learning for the management of campus electric vehicle ecosystems, encompassing charging stations, vehicle fleets, and energy resources. IoT devices provide real-time surveillance of battery state, charging requirements, energy consumption, and vehicle utilisation, while ML models evaluate this data to optimise charging schedules, forecast energy demand, and improve operational efficiency. The chapter delineates a stratified architecture that incorporates IoT sensors, edge devices, cloud platforms, and machine learning analytics engines to facilitate real-time decision-making. Principal applications encompass intelligent charging, load equilibrium, predictive upkeep, route optimisation, and energy forecasting. The discussion also encompasses the integration of renewable energy and the connectivity of smart grids. Infrastructure expenses, data security, interoperability, and scalability are subjected to rigorous analysis. Emerging developments including vehicle-to-grid (V2G) systems, AI-driven energy management, and autonomous electric car fleets are examined. Utilising IoT and ML technology, advanced EV management systems may markedly enhance sustainability, save operational expenses, and facilitate the shift towards environmentally friendly smart campuses.
